Description
Canopus Note has sold out! But not to worry, we have another order being placed for these in Japan.
The CANOPUS NOTE reflects Yamamoto Paper’s commitment to precision and beauty in everyday writing. Named after Canopus, the second brightest star in the night sky that guides travelers across the southern hemisphere, this notebook embodies clarity, and lightness.
Each A5 notebook (148 x 210 mm) contains 176 pages of CANOPUS paper, a specially developed stock designed to enhance inks. Weighing 73 g/m² with a thickness of approximately 120 ± 3 μm, the paper uses a high-bulk production method that creates the body and feel of about 150 g/m² coated paper while remaining nearly half the weight. This balance of substance and lightness mirrors the luminous quality of its namesake star.
The notebook is section-sewn along the spine, allowing it to open flat for ease of writing and sketching. Rounded corners help prevent fraying, making it durable for daily use. Inside are smooth, blank pages accompanied by a guide sheet featuring both 6 mm grid and 12 mm lined patterns, offering flexibility for notes, drawings, or diagrams.
CANOPUS paper showcases the depth and beauty of ink, from subtle shading to vivid color transitions, without feathering or bleed-through. It provides a soft, natural writing surface that complements fountain pens, gel pens, and pencils alike.
Elegant, sturdy, and light in hand, the CANOPUS NOTE captures the quiet brilliance of its celestial namesake.
