The AL-star is the aluminum counterpart to the iconic LAMY Safari, sharing the same ergonomic design but built from anodized aluminum for a more refined, robust feel. The moulded grip section is designed to encourage a comfortable, consistent hold during extended writing.
Those who find standard mechanical pencils too thin will appreciate the AL-star's thicker diameter, which balances well in the hand without adding meaningful weight. The transparent plastic grip section offers a clear view of the inner mechanism, giving the pencil a considered, functional aesthetic that has earned it an iF Design Award.
It comes ready to use with a 0.5mm HB lead, a small eraser, and a cleaning needle. Lead can be replaced with LAMY M41 refills, and the eraser with LAMY Z18 replacements.
